Refrigeration lubricants

Castrol Aircol SW is the new range of synthetic refrigeration lubricants formulated from a new type of polyester (POE). They have been specifically designed for use in refrigeration and air-conditioning systems using the new ozone compatible refrigerants such as R134a, R-507, etc. They also continue to be suitable for use in traditional R12 and R22 based systems.

The Castrol range of refrigerated mineral lubricants includes Aircol 266 and Aircol 299. The exceptionally low flocculation temperature of these lubricants prevents the coagulant precipitation of wax which might otherwise occur in high performance plant using Freon refrigerants. Castrol Aircol 266 and Castrol Aircol 299 are approved by Carrier Specifications PP33 / 2 and PP36 / 2 respectively.
