Castrol BiobarThe Castrol BioBar range of high-performance hydraulic lubricants is designed as an alternative to conventional mineral lubricants in equipment where there is a risk of accidental spillage or leakage, with consequent environmental damage. Castrol BioBar hydraulic fluids combine excellent protection and high performance that extends lubricant life and operational versatility.
Castrol BioStat The high biodegradability of the product ensures rapid degradation when in contact with the marine environment and minimizes environmental damage in case of accidental spillage. Castrol BioStat bearings and gearbox lubricants are suitable for use in stern tube bearings,
reduction gearing, propellers, straight, helical and planetary gear units, couplings, ball and roller bearings. This product range presents optimum oxidation and corrosion resistance and high gear wear stability, achieving Load Stage >12 in the FZG Test.
Castrol BioTac MP and BioTac OGCastrol BioTac MP is a synthetic ester based grease with a lithium/calcium thickener. It is a multifunctional lubricant formulated with a base oil that is fully biodegradable in accordance with the OECD 301B method. This grease has a high degree of mechanical stability and is highly water resistant.
Castrol BioTac OG is strongly adhesive, high performance open gear lubricant specially developed for ratchet mechanisms and deck machinery under loaded conditions and exposed to seawater spray-off, providing very high corrosion protection. Its high adhesive properties reduce the need for frequent greasing.
